  1. Holes 3-D Symbol Project By: Jaci Ammons

  2. Miss Katherine A.K.A Kissin’ Kate Barlow

  3. Miss Katherine was Camp Green Lake’s only school teacher. She was known for her delicious spiced peaches. She fell in love with Sam, who was of a different race than her. Hattie Parker caught them kissing in the rain. The news spread quickly and not one child showed up for school the next day. The schoolhouse was then attacked by a mob and burned to the ground. Katherine tried to get help from the sheriff, but he didn’t help her. Sam’s donkey, Mary Lou was killed, and so was Sam.

  4. Three days after Sam’s death, Miss Katherine shot the sheriff. Then she applied a fresh coat of red lipstick and gave him the kiss he asked for. For the next twenty years, Kissin’ Kate Barlow was one of the most feared outlaws in the west.

  5. Why did you choose this character? Because as my symbol, I wanted to make the lipstick tube and I chose the character who once owned the lipstick tube.

  6. What was the relationship between this character and the model? Because the lipstick tube once belonged to Kissin’ Kate Barlow.
