  2. Status of papers • The 7th iteration of the draft of the beamline paper has been available since November. Ken has recently provided an improved version (that will be the base for hopefully the last version 8th before submission to JINST) • The emittance paper was in a preliminary format since last July (some kind of written contribution was around). But since then it was not possible to get a 1st draft to discuss. M. Bonesini – CM 32

  3. Main issues of BL paper • Description of BL hardware (beam issues, detectors, …) as a reference for future papers [as a “classical technical paper” of a HEP experiment] • Show performances of BL + detectors • Do not care about emittance measurement in STEPI [item left to the other paper] M. Bonesini – CM 32

  4. Issues/problems • Authorlist to be finalized (ghost institutes, …) • Results on PID are for single detectors (no global PID available yet) • Difficult to assess the level of p/m contamination: now some hints from KL/TOF2 combined analysis-> but better to use them (when finalized) for another paper to avoid further delays to BL paper • By the way: PID detectors are working well and BL is working M. Bonesini – CM 32

  5. Foreseen timescale • Incorporate Ken full reshuffle + Alain rewrite of sect 3.4 by the end of this week and circulate a new draft mid next week • Put a strict two week deadline for LAST MODS • Submit asap to JISNT (~end February) M. Bonesini – CM 32
