  5. God heals physically.

  6. 2 Kings 20:5 5 "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God

  7. of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.

  8. God heals emotionally.

  9. Psalm 147:3 3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

  10. God heals spiritually.

  11. Matthew 11:5 5The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosyare cured, the

  12. deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.

  13. The gap between hurting and healing often has a purpose

  14. Psalm 119:67 67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.

  15. Psalm 119:71 71 It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.

  16. Can you trust God in the gap?

  17. Job 13:15 15 Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face.

  18. Some day God will heal everything.

  19. Revelation 21:5 5He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said,

  20. "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

  21. Revelation 21:4 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning

  22. or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
