  2. Solution Hybrid is a company dedicated to reducing global climate change through the reduction in the carbon footprint of the automobile. Through our efforts to date we have filed pending patents for the propulsion of an automobile using compressed air as a fuel delivery system and are moving forward on its development.

The Solution Hybrid Vehicle will compress onboard air using a carbon based fuel engine, store and deliver it to wheel mounted motors controlled through a series of pneumatic valves actuated by electric switches.The vehicle will operate like any contemporary automobile to minimize the operator learning curve, while maintaining the external appearance.

The advantages of the Solution Hybrid Vehicle is its ability to reduce vehicle weight through the use of compressed air as a propulsion source and to capture otherwise lost thermal energy and regenerate compressed air during deceleration when operated in either forward or reverse.   7. The invention’s use of pneumatics as a fuel delivery system reduces the weight of the vehicles energy storage, thereby decreasing its overall energy consumption. The invention’s use of pneumatics as a propulsion source allows for rapid recharging of the system by stationary air supplies using multiple alternative sources of energy. The invention allows for varying quantities of drive motors to be brought on line by an adjustable pressure set point which results in improved mileage. The invention can capture lost kinetic energy by regenerating compressed air during deceleration and breaking in both forward and reverse modes. By reducing friction load through minimizing working components, the invention increases vehicle mileage by optimizing energy consumption efficiencies. The invention reduces manufacturing and maintenance costs thru a reduction in the overall number of necessary working components. The invention captures and uses thermal energy otherwise lost by the carbon based fuel motor, by way of a heat exchange muffler. The invention improves acceleration thru the use of a heat exchange muffler by way of increasing air volume through the rise in temperature after deceleration and stationary periods. The invention captures energy normally lost by conventional carbon based fuel driven vehicles, by storing compressed air while the vehicle is in the stationary condition. The use of light weight rotary air motors substituted for the vehicle wheel hubs reduces the effect on the un-sprung load of the vehicle suspension and consequently the overall weight of the vehicle.
