  3. Discussion on Governance, Steering Committees and Workgroups • Need structure with fast response • Topic focused teams • Defined workscope • Representation for NIH • Need organizational clarity and accountability • Structure needs to be scalable

  4. CTSA Governance Structure • Project scientists drawn from across the NIH and expert in their field, serve as Steering Committee members • NCRR contributes a CTSA team: • Grants management expert • Program Officer from DCRR • Science Officer for SC coordination

  5. Evolving Steering Committee structure • Consider 7 or 8, placing Ethics, PCIR, Pediatrics, Research Design, under ‘Clinical’ umbrella and retaining: • Community Outreach • Translational (? cover ‘Regulatory’) • Evaluation • Research Education • Informatics • Public-private Partnerships

  6. Updates CTSA Support Center contract applications received 4/16/07 CTSA #2 (FY2007) submissions. To be reviewed in May 2007 CTSA RFA #3 published, web conference 5/14/2007, 2:00 pm
