  1. XVIII AIRBORNE CORPS Company Commander / First Sergeant Pre-Command Course Period of Instruction (CCFSPCC POI) 10SEP13 PURPOSE: To gain approval of updatedCCFSPCC POI to meet Dragon 6’s Intent. The Overall Classification of this briefing: UNCLASSIFIED

Company Commander / First Sergeant Pre-Command Course XVIII ABC CCFSC (JUL12 – JUL13) XVIII ABC CCFSPCC • Conducted as directed in MAR12 CPOC and approved at the MAY12 CPOB • Comprised of all directed 19 tasks in HQDA DA EXORD 093-12 Standardized Company Commander/First Sergeant Course (28FEB12) in addition to specific topics directed in CPOB • Course utilized HQDA directed products and time standards (slides/videos) • Total of 39 topics distributed over 5 working days (0900 – 1700 daily) • Proposed POI will reduce from 39 topics supporting 19 directed tasks to 32 topics supporting 18 of the HQDA EXORD 093-12 tasks • SMEs will have flexibility to adapt products to meet CG’s intent • Tour of Key Facilities on FBNC • Classes will begin at 0930 to allow for PT, lunch from 1130-1300 to allow Soldiers to catch up with anything at work / chow, and end at 1630 • Leadership Panel comprised of BN/BDE Commanders/CSMs will be conducted • CCFSPCC will have a Graduation Ceremony

Company Commander / First Sergeant Pre-Command Course Proposed POI Changes : Deletions • HQDA EXORD 093-12 Directed Tasks removed: As directed by Dragon 6 • Command Responsibilities for Leader Development replaced with Leadership Panel and guidance from XVIII Airborne Corps Leader Development Strategy (LDS) • Command Responsibilities to be stewards for the Profession of Arms replaced with guidance from XVIII Airborne Corps Leader Development Strategy (LDS) • Supporting Topics removed: Supported by Student Critiques on applicability of topic in POI • “Practical Environmental Law Considerations” ~ legacy topic that was retained to support the directed task: Command Responsibilities for maintaining good order and discipline within an Organization • “Fiscal Law for the Company Commander / 1SG” ~ legacy topic that was retained to support the directed task: Command Responsibilities for maintaining good order and discipline within an Organization • “ACAP/Army’s New Commander’s Transition Program” ~ legacy topic that was retained to support the directed task Command responsibilities for Company Administrative requirements • “Implement Sponsorship Program – Integration/Reintegration” ~ legacy topic that was retained to support the directed task Command responsibilities for Company Administrative requirements • “Real Property” ~ legacy topic that did not supporting a directed topic and FBNC solely focused Total of 7 classes removed in proposed POI
