  2. Exercise 1 BEFORE YOU WATCH Think about your typical day. What cosmetic products do you usually use? What do you use them for? Do you have any idea what do your perfume, skin cream or aftershave lotion contain? Why do you think it is important to know? According to sales figures of cosmetic companies, men buy substantially less cosmetic products than women. Why do you think it is so?

WHILE YOU WATCH Exercise 2 Are these statements TRUE or FALSE? • Nobilis plans to widen their assortment of goods. • Most customers of Nobilis are interested in health topics. • Nobilis has recently launched a new line of products aimed at children. • The main goals of the speaker are increasing the turnover and making the company more profitable. • The speaker thinks Nobilis should adjust their products to the needs of the spa and wellness industry. • Nobilis directly exports their products to England, Japan and the USA. • The speaker claims that you can consume Nobilis cosmetic products without any health risk. • Nobilis plans to make their websites, product labels and marketing brochures bilingual.

  6. Exercise 5 GROUP DISCUSSION Think about the following questions. How would you answer them? Think about the reasons for your answers. • In many schools, female students are discouraged or even prohibited from wearing make-up. Do you think it is right? Should men use make-up too? • Do you believe it is healthy to have a shower or bath on a daily basis? What about wearing perfume every day? Should men shave their faces at the weekend? • Are you worried that all the cosmetic products you use frequently can cause some health problems in the long run? Would you consider using natural cosmetics even if it cost twice as much as synthetic creams and perfumes? After you have thought your answers through, discuss the topics with you classmates and your teacher.
