  4. Population distribution in Subsaharan Africa874,8 millions inhabitants. High population density in Nigeria, South Africa and around Lake Victoria. Very low population density in Namibia, Chad and Niger.

  6. The Sahara DesertFeatures : - Hotest desert of the world - Third largest desert of the world- Covers most of the North of Africa

  7. The Kalahari Desertis a semi-arid desert situated in the South of Africa.The surface area is about 900 000 squares kilometers.

  8. The Namib Desertis a coastal desert in Southern Africa. It is more than 2000 kilometers longer and 450 kilometers wide.

  9. MountainsSubsaharan Africa has few montains that are volcanoes. Most of these mountains are located in the eastern highlands but there is also : - Rwenzori Mountains- Drakensberg Mountains

  10. Eastern Highlands The Mount Kilimanjaro is situated in Tanzania. It is the highest mountain in Africa. The highest altitude is 5 895 meters. The Mount Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa after the Mount Kilimanjaro.

  11. Rwenzori MountainThis is a range of mountains which is on the highest altitude constantly snow-capped. The higher height is 5 109 meters. This spectacular mountain range is located on the border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

  12. Drakensberg Mountainsare situated in Southern Africa. It is a range of mountains and the highest elevation is 3 482 meters.

  13. RiversSubsaharan Africa has several rivers which are not easy to navigate because of the waterfalls and rapids. Congo River Niger River
