  2. “Robot” A robot is a machine that resembles a human and does mechanical, routine tasks on command.

  3. My Robot -My Robot will be a device that will crush pop cans, it will be constructed with two electric motors. Connected to the top of the motors will be a semi circular disk, the flat side of each disk will be positioned beside one of the two flat plates that will be the crushing surfaces. When activated the electric motors will turn, moving the curved part of the disks which will in turn make contact and push the plates away from the disks (toward one another). When the can is put into this device it will be put in laying on its side, the plates will move in and make contact with the can and using the torque of the motors the disks will push hard enough on each plate to crush the can flat. -This device Is needed so people do not need to crush their empty can with their hands. If they do this they will cut their hands on the sharp aluminum. Also crushed cans save space and can make more room in recycling bins for more cans.
