The other characters are the members of a Sioux tribe: Kicking Bird, the religious master; Wind in his Hair, the young warrior; Stands With a Fist, the white woman that Kicking Bird found in the prairie when she was a baby and that he adopted as his daughter; Ten Bears , the chief of the tribe. What: John Dunbar is an American soldier that fought in the Civil War. Thanks to his curiosity he goes West because he wants to see the frontier before the white men destroy it. There he meets the Sioux tribe. He becomes their good friend. But the white Yankees are coming. What will happen to John Dunbar and tohis kind friends?... Morello Evelyne e Prato Alexia

  4. Nel film possiamo vedere che per gli indiani le cose più importanti della vita non sono il denaro e la fama, come per i colonizzatori, bensìla famiglia e la sopravvivenza. Inoltre gli indiani pensavano che la Terra sia la Madre di tutti noi, che debba essere amata e rispettata e che nessuno dovrebbe possederla; i bianchi invece, discendenti dei colonizzatori, hanno spesso considerato la terra americana una proprietà privata da sfruttare per i propri scopi, anche a costo di affamare e sterminare la maggior parte dei nativi americani.   7. LE NOSTRE OPINIONI: Secondo noi questo è un film che fa riflettere sui pregiudizi che hanno avuto i colonizzatori sugli indiani e viceversa. Il film ci è piaciuto molto perché ci ha insegnato che nonostante le grandi differenze tra due popoli,John Dunbar e KickingBirdriescono lo stesso ad andarsi incontroed a diventare amici.
