  4. Who are we ? A group of enthusiastic Bengalis residing in Sanpada got together in 1998 with 40 members and formed Bengali Association Sanpada. In 2004, the association registered 320 members and made a humble beginning by celebrating puja’s like ShriShriDurgapuja, Laxmipuja, Kali puja and Saraswatipuja. Since then, we have progressed beyond celebrating Puja’s and cultural programs to increase social activities, which helped to fulfill its dream of registration in the year 2008 with the registration No. MH/1396/08/Thane from Commissioner of Charity Public Trust Registration Office, Thane. Today our organization is a full fledged registered social organization and Organized various activities such as Blood Sugar camps, Blood donation camps and in association with TATA Cancer Research Institute. We also provide financial support to Bharat SevashramSangha and Batsalya Trust. Our the next step is to register it for 80-G to pass on Income Tax benefit to the donors donators who are regularly supporting our organization. Our Other Activities • Yearly Financial support to cancer patients through Bharat SevashramSangha • Distribution of clothes to the poor citizen through them • Organized Blood donation camp in 2013 in association with TATA Hospital….. • Organized free blood sugar detection and Platelets donor’s identification camp for residents of Sanpada • Members of this association have registered their name in TATA Cancer Research Institute, Khargar as platelet donors and some of them have donated platelets to TATA Memorial Cancer Hospital, Kharghar • Presently Association office has facilities such as indoor games, library • Music, drawing, dance classes are being conducted at Association premises to nurture young talent. • Association has extended financial support to Vatsalya Trust, Sanpada to help education of six under-privileged girl students.   20. Our Vision • Our Association’s vision is to serve the society and organize festivals, cultural activities, religious discourses and community gathering. Association is presently facing challenges to execute all its activities due to space constraints of its present rented facility.
