Module Objective • Learn the fundamentals of data warehousing and dimensional modeling and how to apply the knowledge of database systems (3rd year) in data warehouses. • Learn the fundamentals of Extraction-Transformation-Loading (ETL) and apply the knowledge in SQL Server Data Tools. • Deliver a SQL*2012 Data Warehouse solution loaded with external data that will be provided.

  3. Development Environment • SQL Server 2012 • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) • SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) • (SSDT is just a specialized use of the familiar Visual Studio 2010).

  4. Assessment • Written Examination (60%) • Data Warehouse Project (30%) • Class Tests (10%)
