  6. As simple as that, you could have been tricked to start downloading a file with a virus or directed to a website full of viruses.

  7. So the next time you see this….. …links that may potentially harm your computer…

  8. I know you will not click on that BUT what about your young sibling or relative?

  9. Worse, they could be filling up these with… PERSONAL INFORMATION!!

  10. And that can lead to: • Identity Theft • Internet Frauds

  11. So be careful! There are many files you download or links you visit that may contain malware which could seriously harm your computer. False advertisements may trick people of their money, and even their identity.

Take the following steps: • Always scan downloaded files before opening. • Never respond to any e-mails asking for personal information. • Install filters and constantly monitor young children when using the computer. • Always check if the website that you are visiting has ‘https’ in front of it.
