  2. MMS Deferred Item Status • The following slides provides a status for the 2 highest priority remaining MMS deferred items • Dynamically scheduled resource incremental and decremental energy offer curves • Co-optimizing energy and AS for self-committed resources in DAM • During the weeks following the delivery of MMS4, the ERCOT MMS team reviewed the high priority items with ABB and started the planning process to assign resources to these efforts • No “show stoppers” were identified for either of these deferred items • Based on ABB& ERCOT resource availability and the level of effort involved in each of these, ERCOT and ABB are planning to delivery this functionality with the MMS4 June patch* • The cost range for this work, including resources from both team, is $330,000 - $400,000; ~30% of this estimate is for the inc/dec energy offer curves work and ~70% for the self-committed resources in DAM; cost range includes full life cycle costs through completion of FAT • No higher priority items were deferred in order to include these two items in the MMS4 June patch* • The impact to the schedule will be that lower priority SPRs will be delivered with subsequent patches currently planned for the mid-July and mid-August time frames • A more detailed update will be provided at the 21-22May08 TPTF meeting • *MMS4 June patch: since these items will be received at ERCOT as part of a patch to the MMS4 system, they will not have gone through a formal set of pre-FAT tests. ABB will have completed their internal unit and integration tests. The ERCOT MMS team will then test the functionality as part of their MMS FAT activities. Adding this functionality testing will extend the end of the FAT testing but will not impact the delivery of the MMS functionality into EDS. http://nodal.ercot.com 2
