  3. Who we are • Cypress Creek High School is a large secondary school located in Northwest Houston, Texas. • Year Opened: 1977 • Serves over 3500 students in 9-12 Grade • Mascot: Cougars • Colors: Silver & Blue

Campus goals • The Cy Creek staff will work to increase all subpopulations’ TAKS scores (in all tested subject areas) by five percentage points or higher by the end of the 2010-2011 school year in order to close the achievement gap. • The Cy Creek staff will strive to reach a “Recognized” status in the state accountability system by the end of the 2010 -2011 school year. • The Cy Creek staff will ensure that students’ competence reaches or exceeds grade level standards in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. • The Cy Creek staff will continuously analyze students’ achievement levels on classroom tests, district tests (SFA/TEKS), and state tests (TAKS) in order to individualize instruction for each student, targeting areas of strengths and deficiencies. • The Cy Creek staff will increase the percentage of all students, and subpopulations, demonstrating proficiency at the commended level on the TAKS test.
