  2. We think that the direction, and light types effects the • Motivation level • Creativity • Perfomance of students.

  3. We believe that an effectively utilized illumination creates nice and attractive environments and provides feeling of relief, thus encourages learning and affects creativeness and performance in positive direction.

  4. Shall be enlightened. It is very important to select colors to create proper effects on individuals in class, studio and work environment. As perceiving colors depends light sources, colors of selected light sources and color feed back indexes are significant criteria of design. It is required to select proper illumination equipment and light sources in order to provide these effects.

  5. TARGET: When the appropriate environment is provided ; it is the correct determination of illumination symbols, its relation with basic elements of design , physical and physiological effects of light and types of light and illumination elements in illumination and designs to be performed.

  6. . Natural enlightening • Taking into consideration natural enlightening in terms of eye health, day light is considered to be the healthiest source of light.

  7. Advantages of day light utilization in illumination in educational institutions In accordance with our hypothesis, benefits of utilization of day light in schools can be listed as the following: • Increase of academic performance • Energy saving, • Good illumination • Strong connection with nature, • To develop a healthy environment, • Providing and ideal environment

  8. In drawing studio: lighting and window

  9. Illumination • Primarily, it is necessary to be provided so that all details required by quality standards in executed works can be seen. • Enlightening systems which are not proper for work environment cause ; glare, formation of point light sources , reflections on computer screen and different levels of shining within field of vision • It is possible to provide a comfortable work environment and easy perception of the place by an illumination system appropriate with relevant technique and function of the place.

  10. We want to research the effects of light using the method of observation

  11. Our thesis is light effect the students in lots of ways, our aim is to research about our thesis to understand it is true or not

  12. IN CZ 101 STUDIO

  13. IN CZ 901 STUDIO In c901 while they were drawing they were interaction they were talking and more happy. In their drawing, we can also understand this difference.Their drawing were more clear .

  14. There are questions which we asked the students • We asked to the students in Cz101 Cz 901 following questions: • Whether they are pleased or not from making drawings in this studio • Where they sit generally during work and making drawing (nears or far to windows ) • How much do they need to have a break, • Whether they experience a concentration problem or not • Whether or not they experience social interaction with their friends in studio or during working. • In what kind of a studio they could work easier.

  15. According to answers we understand that students prefer The lighter part of the studio while they are studying.Especially, they prefer near of the windows. In Cz 101 students give break more than cz 901.According to answers Students in Cz 101 have more problems of concentration than Cz 901.

  16. Effects of high quality illumination on performance : In order to facilitate the works to be performed in different areas, light should have been distributed well to various working surfaces. Light can be adjustable for different types of works. Light level and color perception should be appropriate with educational environment. Illumination design should be analyzed and designed accordingly

  17. Psychological effects of high quality illumination: Light can be adjustable so as to meet individual properties. Illumination provides a breath of a fresh air aesthetically and makes the environment nice and fresh. Illumination provides a visual attractiveness. Light creates a feeling of a place. Light facilitates to move in the environment Daylight and window vision can be utilized.

  18. Psychological effects of low quality illumination: Light can not be controllable individually and adjustable so as to meet personal requirements of working people. Illumination is boring

  19. Effects of low quality illumination on performance: Weak color of light causes misreading of color coded writings. Glare on computer screen decreases visibility . Inappropriate light complicates the reading of small character – writings complicates.

  20. WHAT CAN WE DO? • Our solution is in order to utilize day light in illumination designing in optimum manner particularly, our country should be seperated into regional areas and different types of architectural structures shoul be designed for each of them.using the sun light and artificial light together is very important for this reason there should be enough window and light sources.

  21. HOW SHOULD WE CONTROL OF THE LIGHTING ELEMENTS? • In a general and multi purposed class room; lamps should be placed in parallel to windows, parallel lamp armature should be preferred for the top of boards and direct /indirect armatures should be preferred for other parts of the class room, besides not only the key but sensors should be also used for controlling the lamps. As armatures are embedded, a refreshing area is provided. • More light distribution on walls • Glare is provided to be decreased.
