  4. Timeline • Fall 2008 • Opt-in • Target audience – Simla users • Anyone with eID can opt-in • December/January, 2009 • Wholesale migration off of Simla IAC Presentation

The Opt-in Process • Mail.rams.colostate.edu • Authenticate (using eID) • If Simla user, then • Google account created (in real time) • Create First.Last@rams.colostate.edu alias • Forward Simla email to Google mail • Prompt to migrate email to Google space • Populate ARIES class schedule into GA default calendar • Send ‘Welcome’ message • If not Simla user, then • Google account created (in real time) • Create First.Last@rams.colostate.edu alias • Send ‘Welcome’ message IAC Presentation

  6. Moving from Webmail to GA • Processes and documentation exist for: • Downloading contacts from Webmail • Uploading contacts to Google • Does not include groups IAC Presentation
