Technology Specs at SEES • Full-time Media Specialist • Full-time Media Clerk • Flexible scheduling • 19 desktop computers in media center • 16 wireless computer rolling lab • 30 Chromebook rolling lab • (Additional 30 Chromebook lab added by the end of the year) • Full-time Technology Teacher (35 minutes per class per week) • No dedicated computer lab for teacher use • Mandatory collaboration with notes

  8. 2nd GRADE CCGPS ELA Module 3 PLANS FOR ASSESSMENT 3 Integrating reading selections from the unit into a writing task PROMPT: Narrative/presentation NARRATIVE COLLABORATIVE PROJECT (to be completed in groups of 3 or 4) In Magic School Bus Lost In the Solar System, the class went on a trip into space. Plan a trip into space with members of your group. Include a sequence of events. Characters' actions, thoughts and feelings should be evident in illustrations, in writing and in narration of events. Prewriting- Illustrate a sequence of events involved in taking a trip into space. Illustration should show what will happen first, next, then, and last. (Provide large paper with landscape orientation for illustrations) Part 2: Collaborate to plan actions for each event in story. Record (in writing) important information to describe sequence of events before dividing responsibilities of orally presenting each event. Part 3: Incorporate technology (Photostory or Glogster) to produce final product to be shared with classmates. Part 4: Evaluation of self and peers following presentation. (Rubric will serve as a guide.)

W8: Recall information from experiences or gather information from provided sources to answer a question.

  14. Classroom Teacher Part 1: Instruction from CCGPS ELA Module 2 Part 2: Have students collaborate to plan actions for each event in the story. Record (in writing) important information to describe sequence of events before dividing responsibilities or orally presenting each event. Part 4: Evaluation of self and peers following presentation. (Rubric will serve as a guide.)Review the prompt and rubric. Model using the planning sheet. Go over the rules and expectations of the group. Explain Part 2 of the prompt. Remind students that using temporal words help the audience understand the sequence of events.
