Software Loans Software Loans* includes: Windows XP with Service Pack 2 Microsoft Visio 2003 Microsoft Project 2003 SQL Server 2005 Visual Studio .Net 2005. *Students will need to agree to Loan Terms and Conditions (available on application) Software Loan Enquiries Hours (Monday to Friday): Please visit the IT Service Desk during the following hours: Morning session: 9.30 to 10.30 am Afternoon session: 3.00 to 4.00 pm

Access to Lab Computers / Online Services • Firstly you’ll need an Authcate account: https://mdsadmin.monash.edu.au/cgi-bin/register • What is an Authcate account? • Windows XP/Novell/Linux (Labs) • Web access authentication • Student email • Personal portal pages • Web Enrolment System (WES) • Change of address details • Academic history • Exam Timetable • Library Services

Student Laboratories and Studios The Faculty has over 40 computing laboratories across four campuses: All PC’s dual boot to Windows XP or Linux 24 hours computer labs are in Building B - Level 3 Studio labs are in Building K1.07, K1.08 and K1.10 Students need to apply for 24 hours computer labs and studio at: http://www.infotech.monash.edu.au/itsupport/onlineform/

  7. Logging into Laboratory Computers Remember your username is unique and is based on your full name. For eg. glam3 Your Novell password is the same as your Authcate.

  8. Printing • Printing • 12 cents for Black & White (A4 size) • 50 cents for Colour (A4 size) • 1 dollar for Colour (A3 size) • Printing Tips • Check your account balance • Paper size • Select the correct printer before printing

Internet Quota • The Faculty of IT currently accepts 1 GB (1,000,000,000 bytes) per semester for student internet quota. • It is strongly recommended that students monitor their usage on: https://mib.its.monash.edu.au/admin/ • Students may be asked to pay for excess usage • Further information can be found at: http://www.its.monash.edu.au/students/internet-use/

My.Monash Portal The My.Monash portal allows you to: Access MUSO Access the Web Enrolment System to update your enrolment Access library loans View your lecture / tutorial timetable View your booklist Check your internet usage Access Ask.Monash / Monash Marketplace / News and Events Can be accessed at (Authcate required): http://my.monash.edu.au/
