Freezer Refrigerator Dryer Hotplate Dishwasher Washing machine Electric oven Television set Microwave oven Iron Vacuum cleaner THE ENERGY LABEL Obligatory in Europe in 2003 electric oven for domestic use It does not apply to gas-operating ovens, mobile ovens weighing less than 18 Kg, and steam ovens.

  3. THE ENERGY LABEL • Consumption for a ‘Conventional‘ cycle • Consumption for a ‘forced air convection‘ cycle • Volume in litres. • Noise level (Optional) • 3 categories of volumes • Low volume  : 12 to 35 litres • Mean volume   : 35 to 65 litres • Large volume  : 65 litres and more

  4. MEASURING METHOD • Objective: The test is to measure the energy consumption necessary to increase the temperature of a cold brick (5°c) impregnated with water to 55°C • 3 measurements : oven at 160°C, 200°C and 240°C. • The average of the 3 consumptions is calculated. • Considering the measurement, it is possible to classify the oven in an energy class.
