  1. Some preliminary resultsfrom the exochannel Run: LRc 01 Data: R. Alonso, R. Cautain, P-Y Chabaud, L. Jorda, C. Surace, … Follow-up: CEST follow up team

  2. Summary Thousands of LCs analyzed « by hand » and visual inspection: • 20 transit candidates identified • 7 candidates with a period less than 5 days • 4 candidates with 5 < P < 10 days • 5 with 10 < P < 27 days • 3 single transit events Follow up of the candidates using: • Photometry : IAC80cm, Wise 1m, BEST • Spectroscopy : Tautenburg, SOPHIE, HARPS • Archived data : BEST (1 candidate), EXODAT Up to now:  two completely confirmed planets

  3. E1-0523: The light-curve Period = 4.25 days - Depth = 0.4%

  4. E1-0523: the folded signal No secondary transit down to the 1.5e-4 level (6 sigma)

  5. E1-0523: best fitting • Period: 4.25 days • Duration: 3.8 hours • Depth: 0.4 % • Incl: 88.98 °

  6. E1-0523: radial velocities Star: mV = 13 - G2V • If a solar type star: • Planet mass ~ 17 Mjup • Planet radius ~ 0.6 Rjup !! !!

  7. ~ 1 month ~ 1 Week ~ 4 months E2-0192: A planet around a K star …

  8. E2-0192: low frequencies variations • Two frequencies: • 4.5 days • ~ 50 days After removing the transit signals Beat of two components

  9. E2-0192: The transit signal After detrending from the low frequency variations

  10. E2-0192: the folded light curve Depth: ~ 3% Dur. : 2.2 h No secondary transit down to the 1.e-4 level (6 sigma)

  11. E2-0192: radial velocities Star: mV = 12.6 - K0V • Radial velocity curve • Planet confirmed • Rossiter effect is measurable Prot ~4.5 days • Planet mass ~ 2.5 Mjup • Planet radius ~ 1.3 Rjup

  12. E2-0192: Where exoplanets meet seismology • Period of the planet: 1.74 days • Star rotation period: 4.5 days  Commensurability of the period with the star rotation period 3xProt~ 8xPkep • Resonant tides … excitation of g-modes ? • Modulation by dark spots and active regions on the star surface ?
