Technology Development Langley Research Center • Purpose: • Discuss current technology development efforts • Identify technologies that should be pursued • Compare development timelines to mission schedule • Discussion was predominately RADAR related • State of the art could satisfy minimum mission req’s • Technology developments could enhance science • Follow-up discussions of radar tech needs needed • Additional meetings for other instruments desired • Some technology needs have been identified already • Tech development identified in Mission Concept studies • Updates from future IDL/MDL/Team-X requested • Mission concepts presented to HQ in 2006 and 2007 • Centers’ IRAD strategies • Proprietary information • For more information go to http://ESTO.NASA.GOV
