Background • 1076.1.1 PAR requested in March 2002 • PAR approved in May 2002 • Initial ad hoc formation Summer 2001 • Kickoff discussions FDL 2001 and BMAS 2001 • WG meetings held at DAC, FDL, DATE • Completed compilation of VHDL packages from WG contributors • Completed initial ballot in Feb. 2004 (reported at DATE 2004) and 2 recirculations in Oct. 2004 • Standard approved by RevCom in Dec. 2004

  3. Progress • Currently, in prepublication review with Jennie Steinhagen at IEEE • Publication of standard expected in June 2005 • WG members to get complimentary copy • Maintenance mode begins at that point with 5-year revision/reaffirmation cycle
