  1. The Tale of Two Brothers

  2. This is the story of two beautiful (semi) feral cat brothers, Sunny and Freckles who are in need of a loving home. They were in born in 2008 in a residential neighborhood and have been cared for by a loving caretaker. They, their mother and sister, have all been neutered, checked for and free of disease and have had all their shots.

  3. “Sunny” at 6-8 weeks old

  4. Brother “Freckles” at 6-8 weeks old

  5. Their mother is a feral cat living in a residential neighborhood where at least one of her parents was someone’s domestic cat. It seems as if their owner(s) didn’t think it important enough to spay or neuter their cat. So here in 2008, the innocent victim, is fending for herself with three kittens.

  6. When the mother showed up with the three kittens, their soon to be caretaker trapped them and had them all neutered/spayed and hoped to domesticate the kittens.

  7. Their caretaker attempted to domesticate them for a week in her home but she did not have the environment or experience to keep them locked up in her bathroom while she tried to tame them. (She already had a cat who would not accept them.)

  8. With a clean bill of health and shots she put them back into the woods and made sure they had a daily ration of healthy food. Unfortunately, they didn’t know that they shouldn’t roam freely in the townhouse community. • The neighbors are NOT happy and don’t want them around. They are NOT interested in or care about feral cats!

  9. “Sunny” today

  10. Sunny is the larger, and “big” brother of the two boys. He watches over his brother, Freckles, and has no idea how much at risk he and his brother are. Their caretaker has been told they will be trapped or poisoned if they are not gone soon.

  11. Their caretaker has contacted friends and family but so far, most potential homes already own at least 4-5 cats themselves. These two brothers need a place where they can spend their days together. They have the potential to become domesticated , or at least become porch cats. They are very sweet and just need love in an environment where they are wanted.

  12. We are gentle and loving – we sometimes let our caretaker touch us. With time and patience we will give you much more than you ever expected. Please help us.

  13. Each day they remain they are at risk of being poisoned or trapped and euthanized. Won’t you please help find them the right place to be? Please contact: JoAnn at 813.727.7186/ email: joannburkhardt@yahoo.com

  14. We hope this is NOT The End BUT A NEW BEGINNING……….. PLEASE help us! Call: Jo Ann at 813.727.7186
