Clinical manifestation of HTLV-I • اغلب مبتلايان به عفونت HTLV-I در تمام عمر خود بدون علامت باقي مي‌مانند و تنها درصد كمي از آن‌ها دچار عوارض ناشي از اين ويروس مي‌شوند. • عفونت HTLV-Iمي‌تواند منجر به نوعي لوكمي به نام ATL، يک اختلال نورولوژيك مزمن به نام HAM/TSP، يووئيت و نيز درماتيت عفوني كودكان شود. • به‌علاوه همراهي اين عفونت با برخي اختلالات التهابي، بيماري‌هاي اتوايميون و عفونت‌هاي ميكربي و انگلي مشخص شده است اگر چه هنوز شواهد قطعي براي اين ارتباط‌ها وجود ندارد.‌
