  3. Interesting Fact Twain was born the day Halley’s Comet visited. Some predicted he would leave with it as well. Lo and behold, he passed away the day after the comet came back.

  4. Hannibal, Missouri Twain grew up in Hannibal, Missouri. Some of his favorite memories were spent watching the boats on the Mississippi River. His writing is influenced by those memories.
