Usually they breath ever 2 minutes, but they can hold their breath for several minutes when they dive. *Grow to be 12 feet long and weigh more than 1400 pounds (most are not that big!) *Many sharp pointed teeth! *Stream lined bodies, and flat tails. *They live about 25 years.

  6. Dolphins live in oceans all over the world. *They go to different areas for different parts of their lives.

  7. Interesting Facts! • Dolphins can dive down into the ocean more than 1000 feet, and can jump out of the water up to 20 feet. • They live in groups called pods. Sometimes the groups get very large, like over 100 at a time. • There are lots of dolphins, they are not in danger of becoming extinct. • They are called “Toothed Whales” • People train dolphins to do tricks, and to help with work underwater.

  8. Although there are many dolphins in the world, they are some of the most amazing animals we have! The ocean is where they live, so we should be careful to keep the ocean safe for them. Sources: Nationalgeographickids.com and enchantedlearning.com
