  9. Should CSNT samples be collected in a season with drought? NO! Not worth the money. Results do not help to manage N next year. We collect CSNT in a drought year because we are contractually obligated, and because we use results for education and research. Might collect CSNT on selected fields to have a complete history of CSNT on field. In Connecticut CSNT required for nutrient management plan under EQIP.
