  1. Sustainable Development Goals Action Awards Sustainable Development Sustainable Development is a concept that focuses on fulfilling the need of the present generation without compromising the needs of the future generation. Society, environment, culture, and economy are the four pillars of sustainable development. It emphasizes that resources should be used with care so that there is lesser degradation and more optimization. It is an integral part of the working of the UN, and it lays down specific UN SDG action awards to run on the lines of sustainability. On the other hand, sustainability is considered to be a long-term growth goal, the path of which is sustainable development. IMPORTANCE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Resources are the way forward to the growth and development of any nation. Suppose you have a broad and exciting idea that could help the economy technologically. But you do not have the required resources to execute the same vision. How could you reach your end goal? Sustainable Development in India India had been working quite fast in the area of sustainable development. At present, India stands at fifth place in the pool of seven Asian countries in sustainable development. Also, awards such as sustainable development goals action awards help speed up this change. Integrated planning and monitored execution have been the key to achieving these goals. Along with that, there are specific other steps that India took. Let us have a short glance at them. ● The local government and other organizations have teamed up to assist the plans formed for an overall sustainable approach. They intend to reach people who are vulnerable and communities that are deprived of fundamental needs. ● Prime Minister Shri Narendra Mode has continuously emphasized the idea of the mantra-Sabka, Saath Sabka Vikaas (Collective Efforts for Inclusive Growth). It involves keeping progress at a broader horizon and not being centered on one group or industry. It aims further to strengthen the idea of equality in our constitution. ● Some other plans and ideas have also been started to reduce the differences among different segments of the population and give a hand at rising economic growth by enhancing the facilities of cleanliness, education, nutrition, and livelihood. Swachh Bharat - Swasth Bharat It covers the motto of a Clean and Healthy India. Through this nationwide initiative of the Clean India Campaign and the National Nutrition Mission, India has successfully achieved 100% rural area sanitation, a decline in the increased infant mortality and maternal mortality rate. Satat Bharat – Sanatan Bharat (Sustainable India) The motto of this strategy is to find cleaner and more efficient energy sources for development. It covers the idea of a pre-planned ecosystem restoring mechanism and also a disaster-tolerant building structure. India's climate action strategies call for clean and efficient energy systems, disaster-resilient infrastructure, and planned eco-restoration. India has high resource potential for solar, wind, and other renewable powers. India stands ranked third in renewable energy. It is in fourth place in wind power. India recently launched the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure and the International Solar Alliance to leverage global partnerships. Campagna Bharat- Samriddh Bharat (Prosperous and Vibrant India) The idea of this mission is to support entrepreneurship and give light to innovation. It focuses on building better infrastructure and yielding good technology to make the economy an inclusive and growing economy. India is one of the fastest-growing emerging economies at present, which has a young population striving for a resourceful business ecosystem., India aims to become a USD 5 trillion economy by the year 2025.

These actors and their innovations appreciate their work on sustainable development and SDGs and inspire others to innovate, adapt, and implement the ways of sustainable development.
