  1. POWERPOINT PRESENTATION ONTRIANGLES AND ITS PROPERTIES BY : HARMAN

  2. TRIANGLE • A Triangle is a polygon with three edges And three vertices. • The three edges and three angles of a triangle is called Elements of triangle.

  3. TYPES OF TRIANGLES On basis of length of sides there are three types :- • Scalene triangle • Isosceles triangle • Equilateral triangle On basis of Angles, there are three types :- • Acute angled triangle • Obtuse angled triangle • Right angled triangle

  4. SCALENE TRIANGLE A Triangle having NO sides equal is Scalene triangle.

  5. ISOSCELES TRIANGLE A Triangle having TWO sides equal is an Isosceles triangle. EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE A Triangle having ALL sides equal is an Equilateral triangle.

  6. ACUTE ANGLED TRIANGLEAn acute angled triangle is a triangle with three acute angles( less than 90 degree)OBTUSE ANGLED TRIANGLEAn obtuse angled triangle is a triangle that has one obtuse(greater than90 degree)angle and two acute angles.RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLEA Right angled triangle is a triangle in which one angle is a right angle.

  7. MEDIAN OF A TRIANGLE A Median of a triangle is a line segment joining a vertex of triangle to the midpoint of its opposite sides. A Triangle has 3 medians.

  8. ALTITUDE OF TRIANGLE The perpendicular line segment from a vertex of a triangle to its opposite side is an altitude of triangle.

  9. PROPERTIES OFTRIANGLES

  10. A PROPERTY OF EXTERIOR ANGLES : The measure of any exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of measures of its interior opposite angles.

  11. Exterior angle property

  12. ANGLE SUM PROPERTY : The total measure of the three angles of triangle is 180 degrees.

  13. PROPERTY OF LENGTH OF SIDES OF TRIANGLE: The sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle is greater than length of the third side.

  14. PYTHAGORAS PROPERTY : In a right angled triangle, the square of length of Hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the length of other two sides.
