  2. The mouth is the gateway to the body. Therefore, it is one of the most common forms of infections and diseases that spread to the rest of the body. Many people are not aware of this fact. • Research has shown that too much tartar in the mouth or chronic tooth infections that need root canal treatment or have large carious lesions is a major source of serious mouth and body disease.

  3. Tartar is also responsible for bad breath (halitosis) and gum disease, known as periodontal disease, which involves bone loss and gum infections.
