WHAT DO PSYCOLOGISTS DO IN MENTAL HEALTH? Identifying and diagnosing clients who are experiencing psychological discomfort. Providing clients with psychotherapy Speaking with clients about their feelings, emotions, and ideas Organizing family sessions in groups Setting goals with clients, developing a treatment strategy, and gaining insight via treatment Working with clients to identify conditions, habits, and ideas that are impeding their recovery and wellness.
