How to Use Rimadyl for Dogs • The recommended dosage for dogs is 4.4 mg carprofen per kg of body weight daily. • The total daily body weight dose can be administered once a day or divided to dosage for administration twice daily. • Rimadyl should be given with food. • Rimadyl tablets are scored and the dosage can be calculated in half tablet increments. • Rimadyl is for dogs only. Do not give to your cats. • Duration of treatment will be dependent upon the response seen. Long term treatment should be under regular veterinary supervision.
Facts & Warnings • Do not use in dogs suffering from cardiac, hepatic or renal disease, where there is a possibility of gastro-intestinal ulceration or bleeding, or where there is evidence of a blood dyscrasia or hypersensitivity to the product. • Avoid use in any dehydrated, hypovolaemic or hypotensive dog, as there is a potential risk of increased renal toxicity. • Before giving your pet any prescription or over-the-counter medications, check with your veterinarian or pharmacist. • Wash hands after handling the product. • Do not store above 25°C.
