Andrew Larkin of Palm Beach has always maintained part of his properties for farming. When he lived in Charleston, South Carolina, he installed one acre’s worth of strawberry plants. He then sold the fruit from his roadside stand, which was conveniently right out front of his house. When he moved to Palm Beach, he started a citrus grove with a similar business model.

Andrew Larkin of Palm Beach: A Piece of American History Andrew Larkin of Palm Beach, Florida is a man who had been an influence to our country’s past without ever taking much credit for to the contribution he has made to the history of the United States. He was a blacksmith who had melted the bullets used to alter the course of history throughout many wars, and then shot some of his own in the Philippine-American war.

  2. Andrew Larkin of Palm Beach: Historical Resident Andrew Larkin of Palm Beach, FL found the community he is now most identified with a decade after he returned from the Philippine-American War. He lived here for the rest of his life, as one of the first official residents of the area. He had lived in Charleston, South Carolina prior to that, and was among the first people to seek retirement in Florida.

He was ambitious in his work and invented lots of creative home décor pieces and custom cooking devices bought and installed at the houses of some of the most well-known political figures in the South.
