Roles played by the NGOs in the field of elementary education in Arunachal Pradesh

The overall literacy rate of 66.95% as per census 2011, Arunachal Pradesh doesnu2019t reflect a great picture of education system in the state. However, this state has shown remarkable progress to uplift the level of education across its districts. In the upcoming Census of 2021, Arunachal Pradesh is sure to testify the positive impact of various government schemes at education level.

  2. Education: • Elementary education is very important as it teaches, develops, molds and prepares you for the future and it starts at an early stage of your life itself. It is very necessary as you get to gain the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development needed in order for you to have a brighter future. If done right early childhood education can help in developing a lifelong love of learning in children as well.

  3. Educational status in Arunachal Pradesh: • The overall literacy rate of 66.95% as per census 2011, Arunachal Pradesh doesn’t reflect a great picture of education system in the state. However, this state has shown remarkable progress to uplift the level of education across its districts. In the upcoming Census of 2021, Arunachal Pradesh is sure to testify the positive impact of various government schemes at education level.

  4. Educational status in Arunachal Pradesh: • Education in Arunachal has made rapid progress in the last 50 years. The State has advanced from extremely low literacy levels at the time of Independence, to about half the population being literate in 2001. The literacy level has risen in official figures to 66.95% in 2011 from 54.74% in 2001. The literate population is said to number 789,943. • The state government had launched Vidya Scheme where Rs. 10,000 will be given to a girl child when she enters the class sixth. They are also providing financial incentives to the girl students under the Health and Hygiene scheme under the program education Department. To encourage the students to compete in various central competitive examinations, one-time financial help amounting up to two lakhs has been extended to APST candidates.
