  1. How to manage your boards & CLAT preparation? For any student who is in the 12th class, Board exams are extremely crucial for them. However, the tension and level of stress get double-fold when you are also preparing for any tough competitive entrance tests like CLAT, etc. Students who are planning to give any competitive exam with their 12th class are confused as to how they should manage their preparation for both things at the same time. It is expected that a student must focus on flexible division of mind rather than strict allocation of time. First of all, one should avoid making a rigid time-table that too which is unrealistic to follow as it would serve no good but only depression and anxiety. A student should ensure in making a time- table that gives enough flexibility to accommodate any contingencies. No one can predict what is going to happen at each moment. It is recommended that one should make a routine time-table where you focus more on completing certain topics for both the exams rather than devoting a particular number of hours each day. More than that, a time-table should be weekly in nature wherein a student should allot themselves topics to study for a week rather than for a certain day. This approach gives freedom to a student to study at any hour whenever they wish to and they would not have to force themselves at any period when they don’t feel to study. Moreover, it would allow having greater autonomy in managing your daily routine which will help in gaining self- confidence. Another thing is to be ensured that you keep a weekly check-up of your progress and make sure that you are covering the syllabus of both the exams simultaneously. It is not advised that you are giving equal time to both the exams at the same time. Allocation of time and topics on the basis of the exam can be done by appropriate planning. As the CLAT exam from this year would be taking place in the month of December rather than in the month of May, it is certainly a relief for aspirants because now one can prioritize preparation for CLAT for an initial semester and in the next semester, one can escalate their preparation for Board exams. So, it is suggested that till the month of December, CLAT preparation should amount to 60-70% of your time while the remaining time can be reserved for your Board exam preparation. After December, this should be reversed where one should allocate maximum time for Boards preparation and some time for preparing for other law entrance exams if one is planning to give them as well. Finally, it is for the betterment of a student that they may not work under extremely stressful conditions rather they should allow proper mind-set to take a lead. Smart work is the key to manage both things at the same time. One must ensure that they are taking proper guidance from their mentors and are using time in the most appropriate way rather than adopting a trial and error method. It is also recommended that exhaust the best resources and rely on trustful study materials for preparation so that every effort that is being made is making you ready for your exam. Here at MLC, we ensure that we give adequate care to each student and help them whenever they need any advice or counselling so that a student does not face any difficuly or get derailed from their track. At the outset, it is not deniable that managing both things at the same time might become an arduous task for any student.
