  3. About the project • JUSTITIA BASKET is intended for developmentof elite-level young men- basketball players. Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LBF) in partnership with Justitia SC, secondary school “Lietuviu namai” presents the JUSTITIA Basket program which brings over the top athletes and coaches from Lithuanian diaspora from the world. The JUSTITIA BASKET serves as one of the pathways for athletes and coaches who wish to be involved at the national and international level. WHAT IS PERFORMANCE PROGRAM OF JUSTITIA BASKET? • The JUSTITIA BASKET Program is a model for players to master individual offensive and team fundamentals and also to learn sport science aspects necessary to become a high level player.At the same time the boys will receive secondary education for further studies in Universities. Our JUSTITIA BASKETprogram is one of the key components of Lithuanian Basketball Federation long-lasting basketball development strategy.

Objectives of the Project • To select the most promisingboys-basketball players from Lithuanian diaspora in the world. • To arrange the best possible conditions for players’ education, basketball training and living in Vilniuscity. • To implement the long-lasting professional men’s basketball development program. • To monitor the sports program while performing multitime testing of basketball skills and making corrections in the training process. • To employ experienced and high qualified basketball coaches and staff.

Why Vilnius city? • Vilnius (pop.588.770 thousand) is the capital city of Lithuania. • Main reasons for establishing theRegional Justitia Boys’Basketball Center in Vilnius • Well developed city’ssports infrostructure: • good basketball gym, new gym in process of building. • Soon will be newly constructed in-door multifunctionbasketball hall.

Main reasons for establishing theRegional Justitia Basket Center in Vilnius: • Strong Men’s and men’s professional basketball programs: • - Men’s basketball team “Lietuvos Rytas” is a member of Lithuanian Basketball League (Highest division), it competes in Baltic Basketball League and Euroleague. • Possible support of VilniusMunicipality Sports Committee: • Significant contribution from local sports authorities toendowment system of JUSTITIA BASKET. • Good conditionsto receive secondary education. • Good living conditions in soon newly biult Sports dormitory of secondary school “Lietuviu namai”center. • Long basketball tradition in Vilnius city: • - Many National team basketball players of different age have been trained in Vilnius.

  9. Living, training and education conditions Living place: Hall of residence “Lietuviu namai”. Training field: Basketball hall “Lietuviu namai” Two practices a day. Secondary education: Secondary school “Lietuviu namai”

Basketball program key points • The most promisingBoys from Central region of Lithuania. • The Center employs experienced coaches who have reached high results in youth basketball. • Basketball practices take place twice a day. • Constant testing of physical and technical abilities and training process correction based on testing results. • Optimized and individualized sport training.

Extra information Sports Science:JUSTITIA BASKET players will be provided with a complete physiological and psychological support network including physical testing, fitness and strength training programs, training and competition analysis, mental skill training, nutrition, recovery/regeneration services and other performance enhancement support. Medical:Players will have access to Vilnius Sports Health Centre and Medical Centre for health related matters. Sports medicine, physiotherapy and other paramedical services will be provided by local medical centre. Athletes will have access to Vilnius Medicine Clinics. Program:This program will be coordinated by Lithuanian Basketball Federation with support from local authorities of Vilnius city to provide each athlete with high quality and supportive living environment while attending JUSTITIA BASKET.
