COMMON CORETRANSFERABILITY • Academic dual credit courses are accepted by public colleges and universities and most private & out-of-state institutions to which Navarro students transfer as part of their core curriculum. • Texas Common Course Numbering http://www.tccns.org/ • Academic dual credit courses can be applied to: • A.A. Degree (Associate of Arts) • A.S. Degree (Associate of Science) • A.A.T. Degree (Associate of Arts in Teaching) • B.A. Degree (Bachelor of Arts) • B.S. Degree (Bachelor of Science)
9th & 10th GRADE REQUIREMENTS • Student must demonstrate outstanding academic performance and capabilities. • Must pass the Reading & Writing equivalent of a State Approved College Placement Exam. (TSI Complete in Reading & Writing) • Maintain 85 average overall in high school classes. • Demonstrate continuous success in dual credit courses. • Students are limited to two courses per semester. • Must have both Counselor’s and Principal’s approvals of academic performance. • Must meet all the college’s regular prerequisite requirements designated for the courses in which enrolling.
11th& 12thGRADE REQUIREMENTS • Must have good academic standing. • Must have HS Counselor’s approval for all courses enrolling. Enrollment Limitations: • No more than two courses per semester • Outstanding academic students may seek special approvals to take more than 2 courses, but not to exceed 15 semester hours. • Must have counselor, principal, and college approvals prior to enrolling.

PROGRAM ADMISSION STEPS • STEP 2= Registration • Submit all necessary documents to your High School Counselor by the set deadlines. • Bring documents to your local Navarro College Dual Credit Office • Once the Dual Credit Office has processed your enrollment documents we will send an E-mail confirmation and billing information to the E-mail address provided.

DEADLINES • Fall/Spring Paperwork: Submit to the counselor by the high school deadline. • Summer Paperwork: Bring directly to your local Navarro College Dual Credit Coordinator. • Homeschool: Bring directly to your local Navarro College Dual Credit Coordinator. • Testing Deadline: Testing should be completed one week prior to the start of the semester enrolling. • ALL paperwork, testing, and payments must be completed by the week before the semester begins.
