OBJECTIVES (CONT.) • DEMONSTRATE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFETY IN A LABORATORY • EXPLAIN IMPORTANCE OF ISU (International System units or Metric system) • COLLECT, RECORD, & ANALYZE INFORMATION USING VARIOUS TOOLS • IDENTIFY THE VARIOUS COMPONENTS THAT WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE OUR EARTH FUNCTION • ANALYZE HOW THE DIFFERENT COMPONENTS INTERACT AND INFLUENCE EACH OTHER • EVALUATE CURRENT CONCERNS

THE LIMITATIONS OF SCIENCE SCIENCE IS LIMITED DUE TO THE NATURE OF SCIENCE AND THE NATURE OF HUMANS BECAUSE SCIENCE • DEALS WITH OBSERVABLE PHENOMENA • DEALS WITH MEASURABLE PHENOMENA • DEALS WITH REPEATABLE PHENOMENA • CAN DESCRIBE AND OFFER EXPLANATIONS BUT THESE EXPLANANTIONS MUST BE TESTED REPEATEDLY TO BE PROVEN AS FACT. OFTEN NEW INFORMATION CAN COME ALONG THAT CHANGES THE EXPLANATION • CAN BE FAULTY DUE TO HUMAN ERROR AND/OR BIAS
