INTRODUCTION • Wifi stands for (Wireless Fidelity) which is a brand originally licensed by the Wifi alliance to describe the underlying technology of wireless local area networks (WLAN) based on the IEEE 802.11 specifications.
BASIC OPERATIONS AND APPLIANCES • Wifi was intended to be used for mobile computing devices , but it is now often used for increasingly for more applications including basic connectivity of consumer electronics such as T.V and DVD players etc. • Wifi also allows connectivity to peer-to-peer mode, which enables devices to connect directly with each other. • Hotspot can range from single ares to large-open areas.
HOW WiFi WORKS • Radio keys are the ways to make WiFi networking possible. • These radio signals are transmitted from antennas and picked up by WiFi receivers such as computers which are equipped by WiFi cards. • The WiFi card read the signals and create an internet connection between users and internet. • The typical WiFi setups contains two or more Access Points (Aps) and two or more clients.
