Overview of GMAT • www.catking.in • GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized test which helps you get into the top B-schools • GMAT checks your mathematical , verbal and analytical skills • The two main sections being verbal and mathematics • Computer based exam It is delivered in a computer adaptive format • 25% are experimental questions, their difficulty level is not decided so they are not evaluated in the final scoring

Types of Questions • www.catking.in • Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) Section • It is analysis of an argument and analysis of issues • Time- 30 minutes • write the critique of a given argument • Integrated Reasoning Section • Analyze the given information like graphical interpretation, table analysis etc • 30 minutes to solve 12 questions

Types of Questions • Quantitative Section • Comprises of 60% of the questions • 37 questions in 75 minutes • Problem solving and Data Sufficiency Questions • Verbal Section • Comprises of Reading Comprehensions, Sentence Correction and Critical reasoning • 41 questions in 75 minutes • The most important and difficult is the Critical Reasoning

Scoring • www.catking.in • The Verbal and Quantitative section scores range between 0 to 60 • Scores are computed-based on a formula that considers the number of correct answers, the number of incorrect answers, the number of questions answered, and the level of difficulty of the questions answered • Overall verbal and quantitative section ranges from 200-800 *Note that your GMAT Score is valid for 5 years
