  1. ¡SE LO COME! MATERIAL • Trozos de porexpán (bolitas, vasos…) • Acetona pura (o disolvente de pinturas) • 2 Recipientes transparentes (bol o vaso): uno para hacer el experimento y otro para filtrar • Embudo y papel de filtro • Guantes • Gafas de seguridad

PROCEDIMIENTO • Se llena el vaso con acetona o disolvente hasta aproximadamente la mitad • Se deja caer poco a poco el porexpán, observando como se desintegra. • Cuando se ha disuelto una determinada cantidad queda una masa (parecida al slime) • Cuando ya tenemos mucho porexpán disuelto se puede filtrar para reutilizar la acetona (medio ambiente)

  3. EXPLICACIÓN • Importante tener en cuenta las medidas de seguridad • No ocurre una reacción química. Lo que ocurre es que la acetona disuelve el poliestireno y el gas que contiene este material se libera dando lugar a las burbujas. • La masa final es el poliestireno sin expandir (mismo material pero sin aire)
