NOTABLE/NOTICEABLE/NOTEWORTHY • ‘Notable’ refers to something that is worthy of note. • ‘Noticeable’ is something that can be seen or is obvious. • ‘Noteworthy’ is a synonym of ‘notable’ but its usage is different. • While notable refers to something that is unusual, noteworthy denotes being commendable. PERSECUTE AND PROSECUTE • Persecute implies to inflict harm or cause suffering to another. • E.g. the policemen were ordered not to persecute the prisoners anymore • Prosecute means to bring legal action upon a wrongdoer. • E.g.
