what it is? A mammogram is the process of using low-energy X-rays to examine the human breast for diagnosis and screening.
How it is done? During a mammogram, your breast are compressed between two surfaces to spread out the breast tissue. Once that is done, an X-ray captures images that are displayed on a computer screen and examined for signs of cancer
who it is taken for? Mammograms are usually taken for women around the age of 40, the early the breast cancer is detected the better The mammogram takes a few moments to scan so there is some discomfort Some women find it painful depending how the size of your breast and how much they need to press down.
