  2. Introduction Breast cancer is the most common disease among women. Mammograms can help you detect breast cancer early. Here are some tips that help you have a better mammogram:

  3. 1. Schedule a mammogram during your menstrual cycle if possible as your breast will be least tender during that period

  4. 2 Choose a better mammography imaging center to get a better mammography result.

  5. 3. Avoid the application of perfume, deodorant or lotion before getting a mammogram.

  6. 4. Understand the family history of both sides related to breast cancer that help your physician to determine the risk factor.

  7. 5. Inform your referring physician if you are pregnant or you are breast feeding.

  8. 6. Let your physician know if there is any breast changes recently such as discharging, swelling, lumps etc.

  9. 7. Let your physician know if you have had any surgery or hormone use.

  10. 8. If you are claustrophobic, ask your doctor for a mild sedative.

  11. If you have any family history of Breast cancer, it will be more better to appear for regular mammography. Regular mammography helps you diagnose breast cancer and start the treatment at the initial stage.
