  2. The third film in the series and fourth entry in the overall franchise, Despicable Me 3 is the 2017 sequel to Despicable Me 2 and is once again from Universal and Illumination Entertainment. The film will once again center around Gru (Steve Carell), along with his wife Lucy Wilde (Kristen Wiig), their three adoptive daughters Margo, Edith and Agnes and the Minions.

  3. This time, a new villain, Former Child Star Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker), surfaces, and Gru meets his long-lost twin brother Dru (also Steve Carell)-- who is the complete opposite of his brother.The film will be released in theaters on June 30, 2017.

  4. The animated film is produced by Illumination's Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and executive produced by Chris Renaud.Check out the first trailer here and the second trailer here.Minions 2 is scheduled to get released on July 3, 2020.

Joining Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig in Despicable Me 3 is Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Trey Parker, co-creator of Comedy Central's global phenomenon South Park and the Broadway smash The E-book of Mormon. Parker voices the role of villain Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who's grown up to turn into obsessed with the character he played in the '80s.

  6. Discussing Parker's performance in the movie, chrisMeledandri said that the filmmaker was absolutely elated after completing his voice recording sessions, because he didn't have to remain and try and fix the problems in the second act.Despicable Me 3 is just the tip of the iceberg.
