With the careful and tempered carving by his parents, his personality evolved. His mother’s strength, knowledge, morality & characteristics shaped and influenced his young and impressionable mind. Mr. D K Singh’s passion towards education could be seen from his earlier age. His passion for understanding the workings of the machinery beseeched him into following his father’s footsteps. An engineer thus formed. Foreseeing his future being carved by his passion, he leaned to enhance his understanding of management. His inquisitive mind kept spreading its wings and D K Singh kept evolving beyond the confinements laid by the curriculum. While most study to acquire the MBA degree, Mr. Singh’s wings granted him myriad ideas. The young entrepreneur-in-the-making could foresee India playing an important role on the world stage. He understood the dire need for gracious hospitality in shaping the future of the Country. The germination had taken place. Though he enjoyed his salaried vocation for few years but his entrepreneurial mind could not for go of the dreams for long. It was time to shape the dream into reality. Heritage Institute of Hotel & Tourism was born in 2006. Five years of tiresome pursuit of the dream brought forward the campuses in Agra, Shimla & Goa. Today, HIHT is the largest group of Hotel Management colleges in the Country. LIFESTYLE OF THE EDUCATIONALIST After many failures in portraying façade of toughened face of seasoned entrepreneur, his soft kernel kept emerging at every given opportunity. His simplistic lifestyle matched by his soft heart created an educational leader whom people could follow. A minimalistic approach towards consumables, coupled with a modest bearing, Mr. D. K. Singh is the epitome of Indian educationists with an incessant drive to take education to the masses. HOW DID A DREAM BECOME REALITY AND A PERSON, AN EDUCATIONALIST?

2. Having faith in his ability and clarity of vision, D. K. Singh become an educationalist to follow in the field of hospitality. His passion and knowledge guided his hand in bringing the first professional Hotel Management College to Agra in 2006. Started with 150 students in the first semester, Heritage Institute of Hotel & Tourism is now nurturing almost 9000 students. The palatial building, erected on a spread of 20 acres of manicured ground is a perfect match to the grand monuments of yore in the city of the Taj Mahal. Unadulterated dedication accompanied by sheer will towards effective delivery of the knowledge instilled, granted confidence and nurtured its student’s future. HIHT established a niche for itself in the field of hospitality education. 2007 added another feather in the crown with the addition of second campus of HIHT. HIHT Shimla enriched with colossal building, modern infrastructures, and handpicked selection of both passionate and knowledgeable instructors started shaping the future of its students in the heart of the picturesque hill town. The entrepreneur in Mr. D. K. Singh, could not rest before expanding his grandeur vision of hospitable India to Goa. A futuristic glass- &-steel structure with state-of-the-art infrastructure, envisioned by D K Singh took its shape. This eternal dreamer’s dream of the World class University dedicated solely to enrichment of its student not just with knowledge but also with culture, righteousness, morality and civic responsibility seemed to be on the verve not so distant future. A JOURNEY GUIDED BY PASSION D K Singh joined many associations. Some to advance his professional life & some to enrich his knowledge & understanding. Thirst for opportunity to live his passion and philosophy could not be satisfied anywhere. In his search, he found Round Table India (RTI), an association formed in India under the ambit of Round Table International. The fraternity of brotherhood, where the founder, Louis Marchesi, intended to create an environment for the young & energetic member to evolve their business ideas and act upon them in consortium with others enthusiastic fellow members. D K Singh could see people having similar vision and passion. A place where unorthodox, new concepts and ideas could be discussed and acted upon without the fear of judgement. Where failure was celebrated as the foundation stone of success. Where charity did not imply giving money but sharing time and doing things which could actually make meaning difference in someone’s life. Where food was not given but shared. Where knowledge was sold but entrusted. Where poor were not ignored & abdicated, rather taken responsibility of. D K Singh took the first step and joined Round Tables India.

3. With in months of joining, a new world opened its doors to D K Singh. His passion could spread its wings and feel the air underneath them. Flight had taken off. Feathers of hopes ad dreams held together with the support of his fellow members paved his path to new heights and dreams. D K Singh started a new journey by becoming a prospect, then a tabler, a friend, a brother and finally a symbol of hope for the underprivileged. In this journey, he wore many robes & enjoyed many facets from convenor to chairperson. He gave, he received. This journey took his time and resources away from his family but gave him something which he cherished. With never-ending support from his family, he walked miles and kept creating milestones only to be breached by himself. Finally, one fine evening, he was elected as the President of Round Table International. MILESTONES 1.Recipient of Dynamic Bull Award by Krishna Institute of Engineering & Technology, Ghaziabad. 2.Zone Chairperson of Lions Club International. 3.Education Achievement Award in National Seminar by Health & Education Development Association. 4.Young Entrepreneur Award by ‘Prabhat Khabar Newspaper’ on Prabhat Khabar’s 25th Anniversary. 5.Presented Purbanchal Ratan by Purbanchal Samiti (Govt. of India) PERSON BEHIND HIS SUCCESS D.K. Singh always proclaimed that the blessing & teaching of his parents especially his mother has been the principal reason for his success and triumphs. He believes in family and as such no success can be achieved without the eternal support from family. His wife, Mrs. Upasana Singh has been instrumental shaping his success.

4. No man can succeed without support from friends and noble souls which has been granted by the almighty to light the path of one’s life. To keep the travelers true to their destination, God has granted people transforming themselves into beacons at different stages to keep us moving in the righteous manner. The success journey of D K Singh has been lit by many such individuals. Some corrected him, some made him fall, some treated him, some wounded him but everyone taught his one thing or the other. HIS GOAL & DREAMS To turn India in to the Mecca of Hospitality Education & setting up University dedicated to Hospitality. His Hobbies – philanthropy for Mr. D.K. Singh is not just a hobby but a way of life, some exp. • Providing spectacles to the inmates of Prison in India. Organized Cancer awareness rally. Promoter and Propagator of the Aids awareness programme being run by UNAIDS. Honoring Freedom Fighters on a regular basis. Participating and contributing in Relief Funds. Conducted personality Development workshop for the Police force. Celebrating Children’s day at Shishu Bhavan (Orphanage). Conducting Blood Donation Camps at the Institute every six months, providing 600 units of blood every time. Honoring Shri Subbo Rao (Follower of Gandhiji, Leader for Global Pease) on “Al Religious Prayer” at the Institute for Global Harmony. Organized Eye camps for the students and weaker section of the society. Promoting Eco-Tourism through regular beach cleaning program, Go green Rallies etc. Regular programs are being organized to improve the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality scenario across India. Meritorious and deserving students are given scholarship for professional education in the field of Hospitality. Initiated development of Asha School – School for underprivileged, India.
