Complete cure of a ruptured cerebellar AVM by endovascular embolisation.

A 38 year old gentleman presented with giddiness, diplopia, and deviation of angle of mouth. On examination, there was a right LMN type of facial palsy and right abducens nerve palsy. There was ataxia in the form of dysdiadochokinesia. No motor weakness noted.

For more Visit our website https://bit.ly/2WO8Nfz ud83cudf0d or call us ud83dudcf2 91 9912182862 to book an appointment today.

 1. Complete Cure of a Ruptured Cerebellar AVM by Endovascular Embolisation Dr.SureshGiragani

 2. Introduction Treatment of symptomatic brain arteriovenous malformations(AVM) is multimodal, including microsurgical excision, stereotactic radiosurgery, and endovascular embolisation. More often than not, it requires more than one method of treatment Dr.SureshGiragani 9912182862 9912182862

 3. What is Brain AVM Brain Arteriovenous malformations(AVM) occur when a tangle of blood vessels in the brain bypasses normal brain tissue and directly diverts blood from the arteries to the veins. Endovascular embolization is the latest technique for the treatment of AVM. It is Alternate to Open Surgery. Dr.SureshGiragani 9912182862 9912182862

 4. Symptoms Of Brain AVM • Headache • Nausea and vomiting • Loss of consciousness • Paralysis in one part of the body • Loss of coordination that can cause problems with gait • Dizziness • Vision problem • Problems with speech • Hallucinations • Congestive heart failure Dr.SureshGiragani 9912182862 9912182862

 5. What is Endovascular Embolization • Endovascular Embolization is an invasive surgical procedure. • It’s used to treat abnormal blood vessels found in your brain. • as well as other areas of your body. • it is alternative to open surgery. • It blocks blood vessels to cut off blood flow to an affected area. 6. Case Description A 38 year old gentleman presented with giddiness, diplopia, and deviation of angle of mouth. On examination, LMN type of facial palsy and right abducens nerve palsy. There was ataxia in the form of dysdiadochokinesia. No motor weakness noted Dr.SureshGiragani 9912182862 9912182862

 8. Case Description • CT and MRI brain revealed bleed in the right middle cerebellar peduncle and adjacent right cerebellar hemisphere. • A digital subtraction angiogram was done. • The vertebral angiogram revealed AVM nidus with arterial feeders from cerebellar branches of the right anterior inferior cerebellar artery. • Post procedure, the patient had mild worsening of the facial palsy and ataxia, which was managed by antiplatelets, antiedema measures, and physiotherapy. 9. Brain AVM Dr.SureshGiragani 9912182862

 10. Conclusion Endovascular Embolisation treatment of cerebellar AVMs is safe. The majority of AVM patients are protected from the risk of future after Treatment. Overall outcomes after AVM Endovascular Embolisation seem to be predicted accurately by the described method. Dr.SureshGiragani 9912182862 9912182862
