DPF, the internal composition of the DPF resembles a series of drinking straws attached to each other and bent at the ends, allowing exhaust emissions to pass through the filter wall, thereby depositing particulates contained in the exhaust gases. When these particulates have accumulated in the filter, the pressure sensor detects a different pressure or pressure and the liquid or additional diesel fuel is injected either into the engine or directly into the DPF to burn the particulates and clean the filter deposits (known as passive regeneration).
