  2. What is Paralysis? • Paralysis is the loss of muscle function in one or all parts of the body. • It hinders transmitting nerve signals.

  3. TYPES OF PARALYSIS Monoplegia: Hemiplegia: Paraplegia: Affects one area of the body, like an arm or leg Impacts one side of the body, either left or right Affects both legs and sometimes the trunk

  4. TYPES OF PARALYSIS Quadriplegia: Diplegia: Involves all four limbs, and sometimes the torso. Affects the same limb on both sides

  5. Causes of Paralysis • Autoimmune diseases, like Guillain-Barre syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, etc. • Bell's palsy, a condition impacting the facial muscles • Birth Injuries like brachial plexus injury • Cerebral Palsy • Spinal cord injuries from falls or accidents • Strokes • Surgical errors • Traumatic Brain trauma • Tumor on brain or spine
